All features
The complete map of what Karmas Coder puts in your hands — every capability, one page, with links to the guide for each.
Tasks is available in Karmas Coder 1.0.1 Stable. Hubs are available in Karmas Coder 1.0.2 Stable and Beta. These 1.0.2 features are available in Stable and Beta.
Karmas Coder is built to make agentic development deliberate, parallel, and reviewable. This is the complete feature map; every entry links to the page that covers it in depth.
New in 1.0.0 Stable
Inbox and Kanban bring attention, daily activity, and actionable chat cards to Stable. Auto-fix CI can ask a linked chat to repair failing checks. Oh My Pi is now available in Stable. Hubs and Library are available in Stable 1.0.2 and Beta. Tasks is available in Stable 1.0.1.
Provider accounts add independent sign-in, account tabs, and account-specific usage. Workspace navigation adds the rail, saved chat tabs, and snooze reminders. Provider handoffs continue the same conversation from the model picker. Kanban adds an attention view and Send as goal.
Terminal panels now keep one session per chat. Git writing preferences control generated messages, and Git reconnect recovery preserves long-running actions.
New in 0.9.2
Karmas Coder Beta installs alongside Stable with separate data and updates. On macOS, open Settings → General to install Beta or copy Stable data into it.
New in 0.9.0
Computer Use beta lets Karmas Coder work with Mac apps and browsers. It is macOS-only for now; Linux is coming soon. Project import brings local Codex and Claude Code conversations into your workspace. Provider guides cover Claude cache review and Artifacts and Codex question cards and banked resets.
Agent runtimes and models
- Multi-provider workspace — use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity, Grok, Devin CLI, Pi, Oh My Pi, and Factory Droid from one app, with the subscriptions you already pay for. → Providers
- Provider handoff — hand a thread to a different provider mid-task; the new model continues with the same context, environment, and Git state. → Handoffs
- Model quick-switching — cycle models with
alt+]/alt+[, favorite the ones you use, and drag providers into your own order. → Customization - Reasoning & effort control — per-provider effort ladders up to maximum reasoning, a dedicated picker (
mod+shift+e), and/fastfor quick turns. → Composer - Context management — live context-usage reporting, warnings before compaction, million-token context tracking, and in-session model switches without a restart. → Slash commands
- Usage panels — provider limits and pace surfaced in the Environment panel and settings, so you see rate limits coming. → Customization
Parallel work
- Git worktree isolation — every task can run in its own worktree with its own branch, so parallel agents never collide. → Worktrees
- Native subagents & workflows — agents delegate to parallel child agents, shown live with phases, usage meters, and pause/stop controls. → Parallel agents
- Thread forks —
/forkor Fork from here creates a source-linked task from the full conversation or one exact turn, using native provider forks where supported. → Thread forks - Side threads —
/sideopens a guarded side-conversation for a narrower question without branching the main task into another full workflow. → Slash commands - Automations — schedule recurring agent runs in plain language, with run history, evaluated stop conditions, and configurable consecutive-failure limits. → Automations
- Studio — a dedicated workspace for long-running, agent-led work, with outputs collected in one place instead of scattered across a transcript. → Automations & Studio
- Project spaces — organize threads into named spaces per project, with a switcher tab bar and
mod+alt+←/→navigation. → Preview features
Agent control and integrations
- Agent Gateway — an app-owned MCP tool surface that lets capable agents create and steer Karmas Coder tasks under the app's project and worktree rules. → Parallel agents
- External MCP integrations — pair Codex, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or any MCP app with a guided flow and give it a scoped, revocable Karmas Coder tool surface. → Preview features
- Plan mode — the agent proposes before executing, and can pause to ask you multi-select questions before writing any code. → Composer
- Debug mode — put any supported provider into the same evidence-first observe, reproduce, investigate, fix, and verify loop without changing runtime permissions. → Debug mode
- Persistent thread goals — attach an explicit multi-turn objective with elapsed time, pause/resume controls, achievement history, and bounded autonomous continuation. → Thread goals
- Checkpoints & revert — roll a thread back to an earlier state, with guardrails that refuse the revert while a turn is still running. → Composer
Review and delivery
- Pull Requests workspace — browse, search, review, comment, merge, and pin GitHub PRs across all your projects without leaving the app. → Pull requests
- Stacked pull requests — see stack position and readiness, navigate the ordered stack, and merge the safe prefix through the selected PR with an explicit confirmation. → Pull requests
- Fix button — groups every unresolved review comment into one numbered prompt, so the agent gets the whole review in a single message. → Pull requests
- Diff review — live refresh, compare with a branch/tag/commit, change navigation, line blame, and in-app editing. → Workspace editor & diffs
- Git actions — commit, push, create branches, and switch safely with stash recovery and conflict checks, all from the workspace. → Your first task
- Code review on demand —
/reviewstarts a structured review of the current changes. → Slash commands
Context and input
- Inline file comments — comment on specific lines from a file preview and send them with your next prompt. → Composer
- AppSnap — capture a visible Mac app window with both Option keys or choose a window from the composer + panel. → Composer
- Attachments that behave — files, images, folder mentions with a real directory picker, and pasted-text cards that survive edits. → Composer
- Replies as context — send selected assistant text to the current chat, a side chat, or a new task with its own prompt and environment. → Composer
- Media in the transcript — generated images render inline with expand and download, and PDFs open in an in-app viewer. → Composer
Workspace
- Integrated terminals — real terminals in the task's working directory: one pane per chat in the main workspace or right dock. → Terminal panels
- Browser preview & dev servers — shared browser control, embedded popups, saved-login settings and browser session import beside the conversation. → Browser verification
- Editor workspace — syntax-highlighted editing, autosave, conflict recovery, a numbered fallback, and external-editor launchers. → Workspace editor & diffs
- Workspace file and source search — open files by name with
mod+por search matching source lines withmod+shift+f, then inspect the result in the task's file pane. → Organize & navigate - iOS Simulator — on macOS, share a live simulator with the agent, inject input, inspect accessibility, and capture screenshots or recordings beside the task. → iOS Simulator
- Split views — keep two tasks visible side by side (
mod+\), even across projects. → Organize & navigate - Thread recap — auto-generated, cached summaries of long conversations, ready before a handoff or when you return days later. → Organize & navigate
- Pins & notes — pin projects, threads, and messages; keep autosaving notes attached to each task. → Organize & navigate
- Keyboard-first navigation — jump to any thread with
mod+1…9, cycle recent views withctrl+tab, and search everything withmod+k. → Keyboard shortcuts - Thread export —
/exportdownloads any thread as a ZIP with a readable markdown transcript. → Slash commands
Browser account storage and cookie import have distinct controls and shared-session behavior. See Browser logins & sessions before importing accounts.
Personalization and app
- Slash commands —
/plan,/debug,/goal,/fork,/subagents,/export,/automationand friends: thread control without leaving the keyboard. → Slash commands - Custom keybindings — remap anything from a settings panel or an ordered JSON keymap with context-aware rules. → Keyboard shortcuts
- Theme editor & density controls — tune the UI colors and information density directly in settings, terminals included. → Customization
- Profile & activity stats — a local profile of your patterns: provider and model mix, active hours, and a token heatmap. → Customization
- Releases, in the app — a "What's new" dialog after each update, full release history in settings, and installs that verify themselves. → Customization
- Local-first by design — chats, projects, and history stay on your machine; traffic goes only to the provider you picked. → Karmas Coder documentation
New in 1.0.1-beta.2
Multi-folder projects let Codex and Claude work across related folders in Local mode. Organize & navigate covers message-content search and the new palette actions. Terminal panels explains independent right-dock sessions.
New in 1.0.2-beta.1
Follow provider-native subagents in their child conversations, reopen long conversation history, and resume queued messages deliberately after Stop or failure. Agents can maintain Tasks to-dos, while Hub worker approvals can be answered in the coordinator chat.
